I help not-for-profit organisations to tell their story. That often means:

  • Copywriting for mass and legacy giving campaigns, including DM, email, social, websites, press, magazines, video scripts and more

  • Writing cases for support for major fundraising campaigns, often aimed at high net worth individuals

  • Developing messaging and propositions for different audiences, including mid-value and legacy donors

  • Training on how to write compelling fundraising copy

  • Project managing complex communications projects.

Highlights of recent work include:

  • Editing WaterAid’s twice-yearly supporter magazine, Oasis, to bring supporters closer to the cause and encourage loyalty.

  • Developing a proposition and messaging to encourage people to leave a gift in their will to Imperial College.

  • Crafting the narrative for a major new fundraising campaign for the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, focusing on protecting biodiversity.

  • Delivering copywriting training for teams at the Royal Northern College of Music, so they have the skills and confidence to write for their audiences.

  • Writing individual giving DM appeals for a range of organisations, including the University of Liverpool and the University of Leeds.
